We'll generally stop for a fill-up at the Gas Station/Bait Shop in Lucas (Bethany/Lucas Rd and Southview).
That's not too far from where I live now. Unfortunately I've been in Kentucky since Wednesday; should be flying back in sometime this evening. Anyway, hope the ride was good. [up]

I ride that same route quite a bit. I haven't in awhile though, dump trucks had torn it up last time I rode it.
Lately I've been staying between 75 and Preston Rd. because from Preston Rd west it tends to get more straight than twisty. The last time I was out about half the distance was a little rough and needs to be watched, but there's a good section of it that can be a little more enthusiastic.
Also, I've been wanting to ride Ida Rd. from Sherman to Whitewright.

Fork seal let loose on yesterday's ride :(
Got oil all over my front wheel/rotor. Guess I'm not doing any riding til I can get this thing in the shop and rebuilt.

Anyone have a recommendation?

Bummer.

You could try The Bike Doctors.
5716 Airport Freeway, Haltom City, Texas 76117

I know one of the guys, he was HD/Buell Cert., among others. He does good work at an honest price.

And, thus, why I want it to be a monthly event. Schedules change and things happen; I know this all too well.

Do y'all mind if my wife comes? She's been wanting to go for a ride and we may actually have a babysitter for that night.

She's welcome to join in as well. My wife would have been coming but she's traveling out of town for a friends wedding. It's nice to know we're not the only couple that rides two-up on a Buell around here.

Also, this is the reason I want the meets and get-togethers to be a more family friendly thing.
