i might be able to swing by and ride for a bit. planning on working on the car on saturday, but just seeing when and where you might be stopping in sherman. (im not far in little elm)

We should be in Sherman around noon.
Don't know where we'll be stopping yet. I may leave the food destination up to augustus_01 since we're going to be in his neck of the woods.

If you wanted to avoid toll roads altogether, here's an alternate route, but we'll miss a good bit of FM 455:

It will probably be easier just to head to Celina and take FM 455 east.

From what's been said I think we'll stick with the original plan of heading up DNT, then Preston Rd. to Celina and head east on FM 455.

Side question, anyone have battery charging issues with their buell? I bought a brand new battery 3 months ago amd all of a sudden it seems like my bike isnt keeping the battery charged. I dont use a battery tender because I rideat least 2 to 3 times a week . Just seems to struggle turning over.

Also, noticed that my back brake isnt lit with the front brake lever. I hear the plunger clicking but it doesnt illuminate. Back brake pedal lights the tail...... Thoughts?

No bikes, I quit cold turkey.
I used a battery tender on my bikes all the time. My 09 I recently got rid of was ridden most everyday and plugged in to my tender daily and the battery was 4 1/2 years old and cranked fine.

I'm thinking probably stop and eat at Tracks. It's a pretty good local joint with a decent variety of food. Waitresses usually aren't too bad looking either.

Silverado - I'm ok with the tollway.
LFTDJEEP - In the winter using the heated handgrips on full blast, I used a tender almost everyday. In the summer I use it if I am not going to ride for more than two or 3 days. I have not ridden since tuesday this week so I am on the tender this morning. I have a brand new AGM battery from Batteries Plus that I bought about 3 months ago. I am running between 12.8 to 13.9 volts depending on the engine rpm. With the grip heaters on it goes down about .75 volts. No problems so far, and i check the terminals every oil change to make sure they are very snug.

I go by there just about daily. Not too many good roads close. The ones we are riding tomorrow are pretty much the best ones around us.
