Stopped to eat, put new Bell helmet with transition lense on belt side passenger peg, come back to helmet with gas in it. Dont put helmet on peg anymore.

Wish this thing didnt pour gas everywhere. Im surprised there arent more Buell fireballs in parking lots everywhere.

Never have that problem, now I don't leave my helmet on the bike ever, but I've never had has come out of the vent line unless the tank gets over filled and then parked.

Yeah, I tend to fill up right before I park my bike (it's more convenient for me to stop on the way home) and if the bike is hot I occasionally get that "leaky gasoline prostate" syndrome, too...

Never hang my helmet on the bike, though, so at least I don't have THAT problem.

How do you like that transitioning shield, btw? I have the Bell Star helmet, but still haven't splurged for it.

The transition lense is great. No more sunglasses under the helmet. I really like it.

Its on my list of To Do's, but for some reason I always find other things to spend $120 on. I just need to pull the trigger I suppose.

The other reason I hesitate to buy that shield is that some of my favorite rides are through wooded areas with bright sunlight and dark shade appearing in quick succession---along curvy roads. I'd be pissed if I bought the shield and found out it was unsafe in that scenario. Although I suppose I could just swap it out on days I went that direction.

No trees here so I dunno how quickly it would trainsition if you rode into shade. Hmm there is a short tunnel nearby. Ill try to remember to ride through next time im over that way. I dont think there would be any vision impairment in the shade. Personally I ride with sunglass on at night because I cant stand how bright oncoming HID's are.
