Awsome pic midnight. Sorry about your luck breaking the oil pressure switch. I'm sure your not the only one who has done, just others won't confess to it..

LOL that was one of the first commercials i saw when i got back from iraq (they don't show commercials over there) i died laughing :D

Make sure the Oil Filter is not dented, you will lose filtering characteristics. It takes 2 minutes to put a new filter on. It's a Buell man, take care of it.

i agree buell_cru filter (and oil) is cheap and easy compared to an engine rebuild ... your oil and filter is the cheapest insurance for your engine , no matter what you drive or ride , use the best(that you can afford) and change it regularly . its worth it. gotta take care of the buell. and other vehicles for that matter .

not ranting at or about you here, but
because if you think of it as only transportation, from point A to B. that it maybe for some of you until it breaks down because you didnt take care of the basics and your left walking or riding the bus or hitching a rides thats when it sucks and wish you still had something more than just transportation , without it you may lose more than the vehicle. and for some there is no bus & walking is to work means hours of walking and no ones wants to taxi you around everyday.

The only oil filter I've seen that bad was the one I stabbed with a screw driver to get off my car.

You know how your supposed to warm the engine up to help along with the oil change?
Well, Mazda thought it'd be genius to put the oil filter behind the exhaust manifold where there's just a tiny bit of arm space. Can't really get leverage there and the manifold is toasty. Not fun.

Thanks for the advice and tips, the filter is fine it looks horrible in the pic but there is no denting just peeling of the sticker and some gouging on the outer plastic covering, its still round no denting. And yes I ran the motor drained it refilled with lucas 20w50. It performs amazing. I'm changing the oil every 1000 to 1200 miles. It is my only means of transportation and I perform daily maintenance checks before and even mid day. I'm constantly looking to upgrade anything I can for more reliable performance and so this baby lasts forever. I have one of the last 12S's produced and for me that means a lot. Please keep the advice and tips coming, that why I'm a member of this board. And I hope I didn't sound too defensive in this post. Ride safe and enjoy this upcoming spring season!
