toyota yaris 1.5 liter from 2007 and up take exactly the same filter. about $3 from any ****-mart. personally i've always found the walmart housebrand supertech to be damn decent for the price and made for them by purolator. can't beat the price

Amsoil - I contacted my Amsoil supplier and he says Amsoil doesn't recommend their EAO09 filter for Toyota
yan: i always love it when someone "recommends against using something or doing something" but they don't know why they recommend it. such is the case with this bloke you spoke with. there is absolutely no difference in the 2 filters.

I'll second and third Supertech & K&N. But i bought a Bosch 3311 last time out :D. They were out of the Supertech brand and there is NO WAY a Fram-crap is going on my bike. I hate perpetuating chicken-little stuff, but I helped a neighbor change the oil on her Suzuki with a Fram on it. It was literally falling apart internally. The cheap metal failed to hold the cheesy cardboard together... Wasn't the first time I've heard of something like this, but it was definitely my first experience with it.

I run the Bosch 3311 and it has done me fine. I won't Purolator filters because of problems with a car and their filters. I bought a Purolator One filter and the threads actually bottomed out before the seal could fully seat so I had a slight oil leak. Figuring it was a fluke and they were the only locally available filter for the car I ran another and it did the same thing. I had switched to Wix after they had opened an OReillys and I was able to get them locally and never had the problem again on the car.

is a car oil filter safe to use on a buell?i here alot of differant stories i want to use a bosch distance plus d3311 or should i just use a buell?someone said the engine can starve oil with a car type filter?

yes you can and it is the correct bosch part#. starvation-frothing-foaming-pressure relief valve horror stories all BS. bosch...K&N...wix....they're all top quality.

Well there is a better Fram, XG4967, it has a steel screen/walls as well as silicone seals, supposed to last 10 to 15K miles. I use this filter in my Uly and Tiger. In the Uly I used to change oil filter the opposite times I changed the primary oil, cost of my DIY oil change was about the same. Now that I moved out of the city about 30 miles, the environment I would consider the extreme conditions, I am changing the primary oil and oil filter everytime at 3K miles or less.
