I notice something yesterday and wondering if anyone had any thoughts. I've notice that when I hit the kill switch on my bike, the oil light comes on. Now, I took my son to scouts on the bike. I hit the kill switch when we got their and the light did not come until he jumped off the back. The same thing happened when we came back home. He is only 60 lbs. I've check the oil level and its fine. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

mine does it too....seems that if the bike is not running but the ignition is on, the oil light is also on.

well the oil light is for monitoring oil pressure, not oil level. there is no pressure when the engine is not running, therefore the light should always be on when, or slightly after, the ignition is turned off. as far as your passenger getting off the same time, i would say coincidence. the pressure from when the pump was running may take a little while to bleed back into the system, then the light comes on.
