I ride a blue 2005 XB12R .I rode up by Lake Tenkiller yesterday, it was a very warm day and a great ride . It Helped me get rid of the damn cabin fever I had . I'm going riding the next day it's warm again , if anyone wants to go . I live in eastern Oklahoma, will ride almost anywhere in OK or western AR. Lots of hills and corners down by where I live. So if anyone wants to go for a ride the next warm day we have, just leave me a message , ok .

sounds like fun . . . i saw we all need to get together and go . . . ALL of us i know we can have atleast 4 or 5 bikes

thursday afternoon and night should be nice . . . friday its suppose to be near 70 but on thursday and friday i work till 330

Ity will be aruond 35 Sat. So at 70MPH it would be about 332 to 33 deg F. Thats not bad but I have a leather jacket and pants.

Go Ride :D

That caculates the wind chill, then you subtract that number from the air temp.

Wind Chill Calculator
Wind Speed (MPH) = 70
Air Temperature (ºF) = 35

2.2371211862574824 ºF
Air Temp= 32.763 ºF

Wind Chill Calculator
Wind Speed (MPH) = 100
Air Temperature (ºF) = 35

8.872869199999982 ºF
Air Temp= 26.128 ºF

without soundin like some smarta$$ ( cause if i'm confused about something or dont understand it , I want someone to explain it to me.)...................... you dont subtract any number from the air temp, that is the windchill.(old windchill calculation).... What dont make sense when it's warm outside .? ....when the apparent temperature is higher than the air temperature, the heat index is used instead. the heat index is an index that combines air temperature and relative humidity in an attempt to determine the human-perceived equivalent temperature — how hot it feels...if mean like when you sweat on a hot day and you get cold it's because ,evaporation of sweat from the skin surface has a cooling effect due to the latent heat of evaporation of water..so basically saying it's pulling the heat away,( the heat of your skin temp.) like the coolant and oil do to your vehicle transfering the heat of engine to the oil and coolant and carring it away.( where its cooled down by a radiator or (oil lines by air flowin around them wont cool much .) or oil cooler, aka heat exchangers ), there for keepin the engine metals temps at certain temp range...same principle ...

buelltinboard.com wind chill calculator uses the old wind chill calulation. which is much lower than the new windchill calculation that is now used by everyone . but also remember that the windchill is the apparent temperature felt on exposed skin ,..the bare face..(What it feels like ) and it effects the heat loss of the skin and eventually the interanal body temp. Humans do not sense the temperature of the air but the temperature of the skin. Because skin temperature is closer to the air temperature when it is windy, the wind causes it to feel colder......but hey if your riding you should have most all skin covered especially in air temps below 45 F. if no skin is exposed and you have a few layers of clothes (leather) then it wont feel extremely cold but it still will be cold , especially where the wind can get through or between your clothes.
here old a couple calculators and info.

Ok so i saw a Yellow "R" the other day running north on 169 towards Owasso. If you are on this site, lets meet up. I would love to ride with some Buells and not just all the jappers.

Ok it is getting to be that time. We meet just about every night at the Shell (Start Mart for the old crowd) @ 51st and Memorial. always there on Friday and Saturday, so come out and meet some new people and lets get some other Buells there. P.S. We go ride to not just setting and talking.

Thanks to all and remember Wear your gear. Be safe
