Hello!

I have finally picked out some mirrors....I need opinion on color. Here is a pick of my bike:

Here are links to the different color options, and what peoples' opinions. As well, feel free to give an opinion of the mirror in general:

Orange bar ends

Grey Bar ends

Black bar ends

Reason for picking this mirror is the general build quality at least seems to be good, and I want to have freedom of adjusting it exactly where I need it to be to view vehicles/surroundings.
Thank you in advance for your input.

wowzers! What I meant to say above is I want peoples' opinions on what color option you feel would suit the bike best, as well as any opinions that may be had on the mirror itself as far as looks / functionality / quality.

I would keep them the way they are. No offense but those mirrors look lame, but if I HAD to pick I'd choose black.

I agree with msigg- I don't think a bike with a fairing looks right with bar end mirrors anyway.
Remember also you need full clearance for the fairing. If you had those Napoleons I bet they'd hit up against it. I'm guessing though, not sure because I have a Lightning.
Good luck

People on this site have no problem giving their opinions! However helpful (or not )they are. The bar end mirrors are an acquired taste. For me the black is less obvious. Don't forget that you'll also have to find a way to hide the stock mirror mounting holes. I've never been happy with the blank-off plates that are available. The mirrors are fastening the fairing onto the brace.

If anyone has more information or experience with this, please let me know. I was looking at other user's bikes with barends, and never really paid attention to whether they were the "R" models or not...perhaps this will be an issue and maybe won't fit the style of the bike!

Yes we sure do when we are asked for it. Kthnx

I definitely want anyone and everyone, even just a short sentence, on their opinions in general for color, or whether or not to even get these!

I do realize it is my bike, but I am not all that picky, and I would rather have a bike that is generally more easy on the eyes than erratic (I do realize I have some other things to alter on the bike to make it more eye-appealing). I take no offense to any comments, as long as it is constructive, and not something along the lines of "Why would your dropped baby syndrome brain even want to consider those!"

I am new to the bike and there may be things I did not consider. Thanks for everyone's input so far.

oh9, I'm running the same bike,(8,000 mi.) Drummer instead of the front exit. Have you had any grief with your front brake? I get a bit of shuddering when I grab a lot, I'm expecting the EBR mounting kit any day to see if that cures it.

Yup I get a warped rotor feeling when braking hard (10,000 miles), I hope to soon get the EBR rotor and new mounting kit.

I bought some cheapo Chinese made bar ends off Feebay, WAY cheaper than the ones you pictured,, (like about $10-12 a set?) and I never used them, set them aside for another project. I mocked them up and decided with my low style clip-ons with 2007 Firebolt, that any clip ons just are not going to work, the problem is line of sight,
Its distracting to have to make an effort to look WAY DOWN and OFF TO THE SIDE to look out either side bar end mirror, very distracting, Now,, if the bars were higher and like on my Sportster,, its not such a distraction. ive used Bar end mirrors (Stadium, and Napoleans) on several cafe racer Triumphs and BSAs and for whatever reason, they worked, even with a clubmans style bars. But on the Buell,, Bar ends were not the answer for me.
So I ended up ordering the EXTENDED stem stock styles off ASB from a link off this website. The stock ones show my elbows, but im hoping the extended ones stick out far enough.

Its all about ergonomics, What might work for one person or a bikes configuration wont work on another.

As far as some of those colors tho.... Wow!? Orange mirrors? thats a new one on me. Now I DO like Orange in some cases. Im painting my Sportster Bobber project the HD Orange with Black accents, and most of the chrome and alloy blacked out, some of the hardware in polished stainless,. But Orange Billet? WOW....
get down get funky,

Can you show me a link of the mirrors that you are getting Internet Annoyance

I'm going to get the mounting kit and see if that fixes it, Then I'll go to the wave rotor if necessary, I'll keep you informed on the results.
