Intake screen completely disintegrated possibly from drying out with no fuel for 3 months?

Also would it be able to run without the screen and just the canister filter? Im going to try and see if they carry any over here.

Heres my awesome workstation, I dont have a jack or jackstands yet over here but this works awesome.

Hopefully none made it past the filter.

Put it all back together and still a no-go.[confused]
Guessing something made it past the filter and into the injectors?
Front plug is nice and wet while the rear plug is dry. Still running the same way if it will start at all.
Any recommendations on cleaning out the whole fuel system?

Did you replace the filter? It may be partially plugged up.
Do you have any way to check fuel pressure?

To clean it out I would say you will have to pull the whole fuel system apart.

Yea replaced the filter just dont have a sock that goes over the pump.
Any idea on how to check/clean the injectors? ECMSPY say they are working normal but may not be able to tell if theyre clogged up.

They should have a screen in the inlet where the fuel enters. You will have to pull the fuel rail off the throttlebody in order to remove them and clean them. Be careful I believe the front and rear may be different(not sure).

You unplug the fuel line and the electrical connectors and then there are only 2 small screws holding on the fuel rail. Once you lift it off, the injectors are just o-ringed between it and the throttle body, they come right out.

Ok a little update. Still not running [down] I ended up replacing the fuel filter, pulling the injectors and soaking them in cleaner for a few days, back flushed the fuel line with carb cleaner, replaced plugs and plug wires. Still doing the same thing. Pump comes on, I don't have a pressure tester but with the line disconnected from the rail, fuel came out pretty low pressure and slow.

Is it possible that the pressure regulator could get plugged up before the filter? I'm thinking about just buying an all new pump unit.
Also tested everything with ECM Spy and the component tests all came out ok.

Oh and when fuel is put directly into the intake it runs so I know it's something to do with fuel.

Yes actually! I ended up buying a complete used fuel pump assembly and replacing it. The used one was a little louder than my original but it fired right up. And like posted above before I replaced the pump I cleaned the entire fuel system.

Anyways after I got it running I decided to sell it and I no longer have my Buell, and decided to purchase this brand new.

2012 BMW S1000RR
ABS
Traction Control
QuickShifter
Heated Grips

So far have only had it up to 260 kph on the Autobahn and its crazy windy so dont know if it will see anything above that.

Still want to get another Buell but it will have to wait til I get back to the states, they are really pricey here.

More expensive than a 2012 BMW? Silly! Nice bike thow..

Expensive here for a Buell! They are quite a bit cheaper in the states than here. Lol I know I spent some cash on the BMW but I got a really good deal on it being military and no taxes.

btw, I know you've already worked around the problem, your view on the O2 sensor is slightly off. Think of it as part of the old school choke. If it's giving the wrong signal, the "choke" is not going off when it should. Engine will run rougher as it gets warm.

Good to see you fixed. Looks like an interesting choice of bike.
