So yesterday on my way to work my cooling fan blew its fuse causing the motor to get very hot fast despite being 35-40 degrees out. My check engine light started flashing and since the engine feels hot as hell on my legs I decide to pull over, once I pull over I notice smoke coming out from the crevice between the seat and the airbox cover and I turn off the bike. I wait a few minutes for it to cool down and turn the key, flip the kill switch, and hear the fuel injector go for about 5-7 seconds before I shut it off, and more smoke poured out with what I thought was burning oil because I had a problem with the rockerbox leaking a couple months ago. Apparently the fluid I saw was gasoline and not oil which caused some fuel to leak in the engine and to the ground, the cause of this I just found out is a melted fuel line due to the overheating, possible ruined injector, and maaaaaaybe scorched(think that's the word they used?) piston(s).
So my baby is down...again, hopefully not for a month this time.
