okay here's my dilemma, I started taking my girl a ride on my 08' 1125R. I am only 5'6" and sit pretty far forward on the seat, but I have a fat ass. My girl wants to snuggle up as close as she can :D when we ride so she moves with me since it's a sport bike :D . The space between me and her makes her end up in the transition area of the seat between the rider seat and the passenger pillion seat. I love the R style tail on the 1125R. Is there an R model tail that uses a seat that is one seat for rider and passenger? I know the XB S models have a continuous seat, but I really like the R style tail. Do I have to make a custom tail section. I also realize that moving her forward means I need to move the passenger pegs forward and a little lower which I can accomplish with custom struts I can make on a water-jet machine. My main problem is the seat/tail section it's self. If there is a firebolt seat/tail section that does this, do I have to make a custom sub-frame because of the bolt pattern where the sub-frame bolts to the Helicon engine block? Any guidance is greatly appreciated oh great and wise forum. Please help because I really, really, really like the way she snuggles up when we ride, if you know what I mean :D

Taller rider seat, ie; comfort seat is approximately 1" higher up, so that might help a little if she slides forward some. The only real problem I see with that is, you're 5'6" and it will end up making you stretch to touch the ground. Yes, I still have one, I need to let it go soon, so it may show up on ebay.

the speed of color link shows what looks like an XB Lightning seat or am I wrong on the different model designs? Hadn't thought of a higher style stock seat. I remember that you had a seat for sale, but don't remember what it looked like. Taller seat would make it a little hard to touch the ground, but I am guessing that my fat ass could compress it more than normal and I could make it work. Dean, if you don't care pm me a pic. Thanks. :)

Your right, the SOC is a xbs tail onto a 1125, at some point they made a kit that would solve the 3rd bolt point. But 1125's just look so good with the stock tails.

What about reworking the passenger seat pad? Have it extended a few inches to take up the gap between you two. The extension could drop down to rest on your seat. Then just get a beat up pad to use with the cowl when your alone.

That would be easy. The only other way I can think of to close the gap would be implants:D..

Nicholas- LMAO....but an excellent idea of reworking the passenger seat. Outf*cking standing. That makes it much simpler. I think I will still probably go with the comfort seat that Dean has, but the passenger seat rework is the easiest fix. That's why I love this forum and you guys. That will make her much happier which makes my shorty much happier. :D
