Well last year I tore my whole bike down to move the ecm, relay, fuses all under the seat so I could convert the front to a lightning. And here I am again ripping it back down to put it back to stock so my cluster will work.

Also I am doing a bit of cleaning, getting new tires (stock front and either a 200mm or 210mm in the rear), maybe some new levers and what not.

Well here are some pics of a stripped Buell.

the only reason my cluster didn't work was because I didn't try to extend that part of the harness so the handle bars would be cleaner, I just modified my stock fairing so I figure I might as well return it to stock for resale if I ever decide to sell the bike.

As far as painting the frame I am going for the silver and blue paint scheme to match my show truck. The bike will be a toy but also an accessory for my truck in shows.

you can get a harness for a lightning for less than $100. thats what you need to keep it clean up front and still run your guages.

nice and clean keiser, but I didn't want to splurge on the bars, upper clamp, and such to do a true lightning conversion.

None the less after I had the wiring done I didn't care for the look luke I thought I would. I guess the thing that got me was how uneven the tail hung Over the rear tire versus the fronton the same. So I just cut down the stock firebolt fairing and love how it looks.

Couple more with a bit more stripped down.

A friend of mine paints funny cars and told me he has a bit of free time so he will be painting my plastics. Same color as my truck to go with what I said above.

Also going to repaint the primary to match the frame and the muffler silver also, I am hoping that going from black to silver will pull the overall stance down making it appear lower.

My Bike before I stripped it down this last time.
