Hey anybody got a set of used Pit Bull work stands. just thought I would check on here before I buy new. Lookin for front and rear

[up] I use em no issues really but watch the rear stand if you run the bike it will slide up the swingarm but other then that no issues

alright man thanks for the info I'm definitely buyin some really tryin to see if someone is gettin rid of theres if not just gona purchase new

I haven't used one on the Buell, but I did have a Pit Bull front stand before when I had my last bike. It was super nice and extremely well built. I'm searching for a new rear stand now and that brand is on the top of my list.

yeh im gona need one comin up this next month when my bike arrives cuz i have some work to do on the bike.

Does anyone else have any recommendations of other rear stands that are similar quality as the pit bull stand? I don't know much about rear stands. They're all over ebay and motorcycle websites, but I don't know which names are and are not good.

I talked to a guy that I know who works over at cycle gear and they do have other stands but he said the best bang for your buck is the Pit bull cuz they are lifetime warranty and made a hell of alot better than most the other brands and i dont know if any of the other stands come with both the attachments to lift up the swing arm with the rubber roller lookin things or by the sliders. I would recommend callin someplace that sells the stuff or google it.

Their front stands that lift the bike by the head are just add-on parts to the rear stand. You can pull off the attachment and use it as a rear stand as well, which is convenient. Obviously that would only help if you had 2 bikes and needed 2 rear stands because you'd have to have another stand for the rear when you used it on the front anyway, but still.

Actually, now that I think of it I may just pick up a normal bike lift so I can lift the bike by the exhaust. I remember seeing plenty of pictures of people doing that and it seems pretty convenient. Especially since I keep my bike in the basement. I can turn the bike around with a 20 point turn if I really need to spin it, but it would be nice to lift it and spin it on the stand. I'm also hoping to trade my SL suspension for a normal length suspension someday and I couldn't do the front or rear with normal stands.

Anyone have any reasons that normal front/rear stands would be better than lifting the bike by the exhaust? Other than the few seconds you would save by just lifting up the back end with a rear stand.

HIghly recommend the T-Rex stands. I have the rear. I have a full set of Pitbull's, and although the T-Rex may be a half-step down from the Pitbulls, it's a half step at most. For the savings, I'd certainly go with them.

harbor freight, ive been useing them for a while and never had any problems running or not. 39.99 compared to 100.00.love their wheel balancer too.

I have one of the HF stands. I got it on sale for $25. It's cool for $25 but it's as flimsy as can be. I'd never leave my bike on it for more than a short while, or if it's only holding up the front while the back is already held with a sturdy stand. I'll definitely get one of their wheel balancing stands too, but I'm going to wait until it goes on sale. $60 is too much for a rod, some bearings, and some sheet metal. They should hurry too, because I'm going to have to change my tires before October.

my stand was pretty stout welds were good, but mine is an older modle.60.00 is a little high but no one in this town would balance my tire so i had no choice.

Cool $150ish for front and rear stands sounds good to me. I could of used them today when i was washing my bike. Are they pretty durable?
