PITTSBURGH riding...

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

just at the start of the new year - Gatto had a xbsTT for $5100. It may be gone now.

I have done some riding in the Bethany-Wheeling area and there is a ton of nice stuff in that area. I have also done sportscar touring from the Greene County area into WV and also have driven OH Rte 555 known as "tail of the dragon of the North" - it is well written about on the web by a lot of bike clubs.

I could reasonably competently lead a tour over that way soon. w

I'm from south east Ohio, and highly recommend riding here, there are alot of great roads, and you can always head a little more central and hit 800 to 26 to 555 (the triple nickle), on of the best rides you can ever ask for, I usually meet up with some riders from columbus and and hit that route a few times a year, sadly I'm the only one with a buell on the trip, but well worth the ride.

might be able to tag along on this ride 50dro, i'm located right above your point F in martins ferry ohio

Cool! I'll update this thread with details as we get closer to the 22nd!

Slightly adjusted route. I figure we'll stop for lunch near Wheeling somewhere. Leaving Cranberry Twp around 9:30. Let me know if you plan to meet up with us!

Ride, May 22

i'll defenetly try to meet up with you all when you stop in the wheeling area, hit me up on a private message and i'll send you my cell number just give me a call when you guys stop or get close and i'll head on over if i'm able to

On Saturday I saw an orange Ulysses in McConnell's Mills and then on my way home I saw a red Lightning on 488 going into Portersville. Was it anybody from here?

looking for local rides to get away from kids for a few on the weekends...see yinz at the lube thurs may 21...

I saw a lot of HD's out and a few ricers, but no Buells. Sunday I did just shy of 100 miles.

Has anyone here ever ridden PA 981 north from Smithton? I took mainly backroads in/around rte 48 South to get to Smithton (via Rostraver) and made it to Mt. Pleasant before taking 31 back toward Pittsburgh.

Rte 981 was a really nice bike road.

STEAK & LUBE Bike night - 5/20

...never been to one before, rode-up last night. What a great night for riding. Met some friends (non Buell) in Robinson and took back roads through Montour and across Sewickley bridge and up through Sewickley Hts, Bell Acres, etc....ultimately got to the Lube.

Saw only one other Buell, electric blue xB. Saw a couple of the new HD "48's" - I like those. Everything else was pretty much same-old, same-old. 1-2 Duc 1098's, also.

I was kinda amazed at the "cougar" scene there. Still not sure what to make of that?!?

Overall, it felt kinda weird just standing around not riding. I guess that's why I did not see many Buell's and BMW's....those bikes are meant for riding and not sitting in a parking lot.

I haven't been to the Lube lately but when I went I didn't know what to do. I talked to one person for the whole 40 minutes I was there and he was a professional stunt rider who also works at a local cycle gear shop near me.

yep...I'm with you guys on that one. I like bikes and all but I'd rather be riding! Not to mention all the alcohol consumption...that's something I simply don't mix with riding. Last time I went, there were 5-6 Buells there and it was raining a bit. I was surprised to say the least.

In case any of you were planning to meet up with me on my ride tomorrow, I wanted to let you know that it is canceled/postponed due to weather.[mad]

I may try to go next weekend but I'll keep you posted.

I stopped by there around 7 when I was out riding, I saw the blue xb9 as well, belong to anyone here?

I never could stick around there long either. I usually don't even pull into the parking lot. I just pull my bike up on the sidewalk out front, do a loop around the lot to check out the bikes and take off.
Willie: the hot mom situation up there has always been out of hand. I grew up out that way and it's been like that for a while.

Willie P you were in my parents backyard (mt.Pleasant). I am going to have to give you my number to meet up somewhere and go riding.. We put around 180 Miles on our bikes today..

Was someone on a yellow lightning on rt 271 coming from Johnstown towards Ligionier on Sunday anywhere from 4-6pm? i passed it going the other way. the bike was with 2 or 3 cruisers.

The blue XB9 at the Lube Thursday was likely ThunderXB's...He mentioned a few posts ago that he was going to be there and I know that's what he rides.
