On tacoma we called it plasti-derp, for the pansies to scared to use paint

You seem to say this a lot, and it's pretty stupid. Why do you diss people who use PD? What's not to like about having the ability to undo a paint job that you can do yourself for very cheap?

You can apply plastidip for those areas that comes off. Pretty easy thing. With paint you can't just paint bad/scratched areas over.

One thing you have to remember with plastidip is that it will literally MELT if affected by fuel... So have to be really careful when refuelling.

I have had it on the grill of my jetta and the rear emblems for about 4 months now. No issues even after washing it. Prepping it is the key. How long did you wait in between coats and how many?

Same thing on my MKV Rabbit. I did the front and rear emblems in white and it's been on there for almost a year. Waited around 30 minutes between coats and it came out clean. Been through car washes and storms with no problems. The car lives outside also in front of my house so it's lived through a Vegas summer (can't park inside due to that space being reserved for the Buell). Was attempting to de-chrome the whole thing. Want to use black on the name badges.
