Just installed these 2 weeks ago and they were never used by a passanger

Yeah I've never like the stuff, IMO if you want to do it paint them for real or powder coat.

I've had it on all my plastics for a month with no issues yet and still looks great.

No telling to be honest. I really never expected it to last, but I did expect more than 2 weeks out of it. Pegs and mounts will be PC'd this winter.

my friend has plastidip on his winter wheels and it has lasted more than a season. even takes it through the car wash.

I have seen a LOT of good things about plastidip. Makes me want to try it on my wheels.

Better than spray paint, at least you are not screwed, peel it off and try it again. Should not have been a full can to do pass pegs.

Was a full can. Washed, dried, used Grease and wax remover. Let dry for 3 days and then this 2 weeks later....

I won't use it again on anything but the plastics. Had high hopes in doing my forks but that's prob not going to happen now.

This didn't even turn to a plastic... It stayed like a rubbery film.

I have had it on the grill of my jetta and the rear emblems for about 4 months now. No issues even after washing it. Prepping it is the key. How long did you wait in between coats and how many?

Maybe a rock hit it or something? I had seat rails, center piece on my chin fairing, and even my heel guards and they all held up good. I finally got around to powder coating.

It's not supposed to become plastic. It will remain a rubber-type material once cured.

It's great stuff to use as it's completely reversible and cheap. However, as you've learned, as soon as it gets a full puncture will start peeling away from that spot. I did the center caps on my truck wheels expecting to have to redo them every couple months cuz of how frequently I go through the car wash, but haven't had a single bit start peeling in the 8 months that it's been on there.

I've plastidip'd my Jeep Bumpers and Fenders. It's been on there for about 4-months now, and hasn't peeled yet. I've even been off roading quite a few times and it still looks great.

I dip my whole bike barley peeling where my legs touch no rock chips or anything and I put dip on my sled hood and that gets the he'll beat out of it and has lasted like 500 miles of ditch banging and deep snow. I just washed w/ water and sprayed it. Had to be a film or something on it

Waiting a hours between coats is probably your problem. It says right on the can to do each coat minutes apart so it will adhere to the last coat. I did the grills on my Wifes car a year ago no problems even when she goes to the car wash.

you cant spray plasti dip anywhere that will get constant rubbing or any scratches.

it is a rubberized paint so will grip on to anything that contacts it and stretch and then weaken or rip it.

its perfect for rims or fly screen. front fairing is still going strong 8 months later and i only put 1 coat on,
