Living in SoCal, I've been hit twice by cars (never down thankfully) and my dad's been cut off and had to slide out before too. Wishing your buddy a speedy recovery and to the lady that turned... Karma's a bitch.
Thoughts and prayers, This is a terrible thing to hear, a painfull thing to see, and ,god forbid, a horrible thing to expierence.
I have lost friends, and enimies to motorcycle accidents... They were all my brothers...
First of all thank you all for showing my friend support[up] Secondly after all Bob went through and the severity of the crash all he ended up with was a broken index finger on his right hand, lots of bruising and some road rash on his right side. They said he probably got knocked out when he hit the van which made his body go limp when he hit the ground and slid. Hes getting pins in his finger today and should be out of the hospital tomorrow.
As for the lady she was cited and Bobs parents already have a lawyer. And the bike is totaled. Ill try to get pics if I can.
I wanna point out again that if he didnt have his helmet on this would of been a different story. Please everyone always at least wear a helmet if not more. Ride safe.
Ouch best friend had to have pin in the middle finger after a wreck that was one nasty surgery... Glad you friend is okay I hope the lawyer sticks it to the driver

When I lived in Arizona I didn't always wear a helmet, I'm kind of glad I must wear one now. I once had a truck throw off a big strip of tire and even though I ducked as low as it could the piece along with strips of steel belt scrapped my helmet. Now if I would have been riding without the helmet I would have been scalped.
Sorry to hear about your buddy, he will be remembered in my prayers and thoughts. I was t-boned two years ago and if it wasn't for my helmet, I would be dead.
Well Bob had the pins put in his finger and is doing great. But they checked his x-rays again and found a ruptured disc in his lower back so now he will be getting surgery on his back today and hopefully be out of the hospital on Monday. Also he talked to his lawyer and he said that there will be no problem getting everything paid for plus some.
