I was just over on this other thread, where High milage was becoming the topic. Thought it could make for a good topic on it's own. So, if you have one, un-rebuilt post up your milage. Or, if you have one that the top end needed work only, post up your milage and tell at what milage the work had to be done. I guess the goal would be to give an idea of whats possible with good maintenance.

24/24.5k on my 03.

Zero engine work. And since I bought it last august, its my daily commuter and gets a lot of miles on it.

My buddy has a 2010 xb12ss with 25k. Nothing done to her and he put every mile on it. I'm posting this since he is a homo and don't read the forums no more !

05XB12R. 29000 miles and no engine probs at all. All maintenance done by me and per the service manual. Daily driver, except in winter.

I'm up to 25000 on my 06 XB9. Bought her in Aug of last year with 9000 on it. I ride her everyday. Bought a 1125CR for fun times so the XB is my daily commuter everyday bike so the miles might slow down a little bit.

08 xb12Scg 22k, bought it in Feb with 19.5k. All original, no issues except for water in the tranny from a torn clutch cable boot

22k needed rear cylinder base gasket so rebuild with new rings

27k needed transmission bearings and primary side crank bearing.

bike was purchased with 20k and i suspect maintenance was not a top priority. purchased with leaking fork seal so those were rebuilt right away.

the good news is im very familiar with my bike.

i'm somewhere around 28k.... race ECM, race pipe, K&N filter, and breather re-route, the rest is stock!

65 600kms. Replaced crank bearing at 53 125, also did rings, gaskets. 03' xb9s :) race can, k&n, ebr ecm. Suspect previous owner neglect for bearing issue.

I have 18,500 on my '05 XB9SX....never apart. Bad ECM was popping coils open around 10k,(it took out 2 coils!), replaced ECM, and all has been fine since! :D

Owned 5 years now.
36,500 miles.
failures: 1 headlight element/1 clutch cable

xb12 sorry my picture was blurry [sad]
