power wire damage from aftermarket seats

repair damaged wire and rotate to position in pic to avoid issue from corbin and aftermarket seat mounts. just noticed it winterizing my bike.

rubbed at lower right of bracket in bottom pic shorting out battery surprisingly only to a very slow draw instead of a flat out short...
 
It is surprizing that no one has noticed this before. Have you notified Corbin of this issue? I am SURE they will appreciate you giving them feedback about it, for product design improvement, as this could be a potential liability for them.

Judging from the reviews I've read of Corbin's customer service, I'd really be surprised if they give a **** at all. Hopefully they do...let us know what they say if you do contact them!
 
I've noticed similar issues even with my stock seat, although not as bad, but it rubs the cable a bit. I found you can turn the cable to a certain position that stays out of the way, I think it is sort of at a 45 deg angle (like to the opposite corner of the battery).
