Problem with new (used) 2007 XB12R. What can the dealership do?

Another UPDATE: Tech says they narrowed it down to gunked up PCV valves. They cleaned the valves and gave me back the bike while they wait for new PCVs to arrive, which they said would come in about a week. I rode it yesterday and today and noticed it's leaking oil worse than before - oil splatters all over the rear tire and swingarm, and when I stop at red lights it mildly smokes. I also noticed if I'm sitting at a red light for a while my bike will hesitate/stutter for a split second as I accelerate in first gear. This happened before I returned my bike to the dealer for repair, I just forgot about it. Is this a symptom of junk PCVs?

Today I did the breather relocate mod - two separate hoses going from the two PCVs down to the swingarm (no catch can or filter). Bike seems to run better (much less decel popping), though of course it still leaks oil near the junk PCV/grommet.

Before I did the reroute I tried testing the PCVs with the bike off by blowing in/out and noticed when I blew in one hose air came out the other...and when I sucked one hose I felt a suction on the other hose. Is this normal? I know PCVs are only supposed to allow outflow and not inflow, but should they allow flow all the way from one valve through the engine and to the other valve? Sorry for all the noon questions, I'm still learning :/

Does the engine need to be rotated to install new PCVs? Since I already knew my PCVs were bad, without rotating the engine I pulled out the rear PCV just to look at it and there was a crack going almost all the way through, and the part that sits in the rocker box was misshapped (thinner up top, bulging near the bottom)...makes me think it cracked because it was shoved at an awkward angle by a lazy tech who didn't want to rotate the engine...or maybe it was just the heat that cracked it?

Sounds like a crappy tech or the clown that owned it prior. Either way your gaining usefull knowledge in the process. Mine decel pops like mad especially in second. I kinda like it tho, scares the piss out of people walking on the street.

Yah, I'm learning a lot since I enjoy taking things apart, but I'm kinda limited in how deep I can dig into my bike because I live in an apartment and don't have a garage for tools, a lift, etc..and can't leave my bike in pieces in my parking stall. I think anything that requires the engine to be dropped will have to be done by a shop.

Got my bike back yesterday. Dealer replaced the PCVs and now the oil leak is completely gone :) The invoice was about $1400 just to diagnose an oil leak and replace some plastic valves! Luckily I didn't have to pay one cent. The previous owner was running the stock map with the Jardine pipe, so I loaded the "race" map and did a TPS reset and it seems to be running better and stronger. I can finally go out and enjoy my bike...yay :D
