XBs Guys,
I designed this fairing to fit over aftermarket windsheilds (or alone?) and would like your opinions. If I were to produce more they would sell for $300 unpainted. Thanks for looking.

Its like a cross between a road king and a lightning. Not my cup of tea, but im sure some will dig it.

You did a nice job on it [up], but it would suit a Uly better I think. Or if you had the travel pack on the back.

It is to much sort of like a spoiler on the front of a semi hood, it may have a good function but it is to much.

I have you tried to see if it stays together at speed? I don't think four little screws are enough to hold all that wind resistance.

I like the creativity. [up]

I think if left like it is...it's ugly, But making it a two tone color would add an illusion that make take the monstrous look off it. Like painting the handguard section black and leaving the center red.

Like buellxb said. Those 4 little screws would definately have their work cut out for them...

Good work though!

I'd like to thank everyone who left a comment, it was fun reading them....and I thought everyone would love it! :D As far as the four screws holding it on, I used a leftover Acerbis handguard mount kit to secure the fairing to each bar end. Haven't tried it at speed yet but the mount system seems very sturdy. Still have some stylish luggage to mount for my touring pleasure and to add to the "Road King look".

Man since i seen this, i remember seeing a picture of a Buell XB with an actualy Road King upper fairing on it...it looked absolutly rediculous. I cant find it anymore[sad]

could definitely work on a Uly.

but i think even the stock handguards look completely terrible on an XB. the rest of the bike is just too sleek for anything big infront of the grips, for me.

I think with some luggage packs on the back it would help complete the look. Give it some time guys, its a work in progress. I bet some pics with the luggage would definitely help the overall look.

I'am with mrdozer2you with a rack pack which i have ordered would make it would blend together nicely. But to tell the truth i also like it by itself. How thick is it and whats it made of? And do you have a pic from behind? It looks like it would knock the wind off good on long trips. Let me know how your production is going, i might be you first customer.

Thanks BILL2, the fairing is made of fiberglass average thickness 3/8". Added pic from behind. Windsheild by Cee Bailey's but I've seen others like it on the web. As for production, it will depend on demand but if your'e interested in one I can probably get it to you in about four weeks. I'll try and take some better pics soon.

Eric would like it.
Form follows function.

On to the testing phase...

Yeah put me down for the first one you have for sale. I do alot of winter riding of a 100+ miles each way and your windscreen/shield sure would help a bunch. Here's my email [email protected] Let me know when you have one ready, Thanks Bill
