Quiet Exhaust for a Blast?

A few years ago we bought my wife a 2001 Buell Blast. It came with the pro-series exhaust and air filter kit. The exhaust is too loud for my wife's tastes. Has anyone had any experience with the Jardine or Vance & Hines SS2-R systems? How loud are they? The V&H is a lot cheaper than the Jardine, but that doesn't mean anything if it is anywhere near as loud as what we have now.

They are all very loud. What you need is the stock setup. Thats the quietest.

Pro series exhaust? The all black one? I would sell that as their are some who value all the buell line and they are very hard to find. Then buy a stock exhaust for just a few dollars as most everyone hates them.

What about drilling a 1 5/8 hole, is that louder than any of the V&H, D&D, Jardine options?

No - drilling the stock exhaust will make it louder, but not as loud as the aftermarket exhaust systems.

Just go back to the stock exhaust if you want quiet (hey-I have one in my garage) - but (a) the bike will sound like a lawn mower-and (b) when you drain the transmission oil the stock exhaust will be in the way. I have a V & H and it is a glass packed pipe. I find it only is really loud when you really "get on it"

Not to bite on your thread, but luckdragon,do you still have the stock exhaust to which you referred?
