So I have a firebolt... I bought an S harness and did the swap. Now the bike is close to back together and things are not working. I don't even know where to begin except trying to put another harness again. Taillight and headlight come on... But no blinkers, accessory fuse keeps blowing and anyway any advice?

Grab yourself a multimeter and start testing continuity. Also, sometimes fuses can look fine when they are actually blown. Your multimeter is your friend.

Do you have the firebolt taillight?

Are you using the tail-light to light the lic plate or using the factory lic. plate wiring that come off the lightning harness?

Do your brake lights work?

I think you got some wires crossed somewhere. I just swapped my tail to a firebolt from a lightning. I found out the hard way on some elec stuff. I'll try my best to help you from my mistakes.

do you have wiring chart or did you label the old and new wires of what they was . you can see the electrical wiring charts and color of wires in the service manuals top of page it might help .

unplugg all the turn signals
I would guess that is where your issue is you have shorted somthing to ground.
Option t put a test light in the fuse that keeps blowing
unplug stuff till the light goes out or atleast dim

Another shot would be to pull the relays, but I have a feeling in the end it will come down to a wire by wire search.

If it is just fuses that are blowing it should be something simple.

The bike doesn't really hav to much to it, so even if you do have to wire by wire search it will just take a little time.

It has the S tail setup also now... The fuse is the accessory. Wire by wire is beyond me but I'll give it a try. XTREME I can do mechanical things so pulling out the harness and putting in a new one was hard but basically unplug and re-plug. But I don't have a clue about electrical. People said this was an easy project but it's now a real pain. The Bike ran perfect haha but I wanted a different look and here's where I am. NATIVE it's a stock harness so it was as simple as plug to plug. RT the signals are unplugged. I'll try that fuse test.

You have grounded a wire some where that shoudn't be
did you have the front sprocket cover off?
I will bet you pinched the big red wire there .when you put the cover back on.

Ok so I found the source of the acc fuse shorting out. I plugged in the blinkers and they didn't short it, but I plugged the tail light in and then it shorted. The wierd thing is that the tail light will still work but it shorts out a fuse that lights up the gauges and the blinkers. The other thing I haven't figured out yet is when you turn the key and press the red pre-start button there should be a Hum but it does nothing. It didn't do that at first but now theres no reaction turning the button on. RT I checked those wires and they seem to be ok.
