I have a 07 XB9SX. I recently installed a Jardine Exhaust and K&N air filter. Loved the way it ran but was told I could ruin the engine due to lean fuel management. Purchased the Race ECM from EBR, HD installed and reset the TPS. Ran pretty decent but hesitated between 3800 and 4200 ish untill it warms up. I decided i could deal with this till next year when i might be able to afford it bit at least for now im not hurting the engine. about 1 week and 100 miles later the check engine light came on. cant make to a dealership till next week to check the fault code. bike seems to run fine aside from a little lag/hesitation/bog once in awhile around 3800 - 4200. Is this just due to running to rich or should i be really concerned and not ride the bike?

You should invest n an ecmspy cable or xopti Bluetooth dongle. Even the $90 dongle is probably cheaper than a trip to my local HD shop. And you can use ur tablet or Droid device. Ecmspy and ecmdroid are full tuners with full scan and Eprom burning. Read all the free lit on there respective website u might come up with a simple solution ie. Fresh plugs with correct heat range, breather reroute, pinning open the exhaust valve, pinched fuel vent line

I made my own but its my understanding for a few extra bucks xopti will make 1 for u. They're pretty simple just don't scrimp on the btmodule. I waterproofed mine and add a switch.
