Nice. So its settled then. I'll sell the buell and buy a honda. Kidding. Thanks for all the help. I'll post up after its done and give my impressions of the change. Hopefully I can get this done before the track day.

So I called a HD dealership to see what the deal is with getting my TPS reset. They say it will take an hour, and would cost me $90. Does that sound right? Sounds like a long time to me, but I dont really know whats involved. This normal?

Yeah that sounds pretty normal. Most places just to get you in will charge 1hrs worth of work no matter what. Sometimes it can be done in 2 seconds. Other times it takes longer.

frigin dealerships[down]. The shop I called was the closest, but not one I really trust. The service guy didnt even know what a TPS reset was at first. My trusted dealer is about 50 miles from my house. You think thats too far to ride with the remapped ECM without getting a TPS reset.

-also, the ASB guys seemed to think that a TPS reset after the new ECM was put in wasnt really needed. HE said it would only need to be reset if it was off in the first place.

you should reset the TPS AND the AFV when you swap ECM's. just to be on the safe side. OR, you can ECMspy the bike and for starters, at least turn off the "White wire Function" to give you that little midrange boost.

be aware of the difference between a TPS reset and a TPS adjustment. 2 different procedures.
