Hi all. I acquired a '10 1125CR a couple of weeks ago. I'm really enjoying it but I noticed that the LH radiator pod is not well lined up with the frame spar.

I could start pulling plastic off to see if there's and adjustment or if some shims are called for but being well lazy I thought I'd ask someone who knows how it's mounted and if it's a common issue.

Cheers in advance,

Mark.

first mention of it that i've heard. Pics?

either way, there isn't much adjustment in the mounting for the plastic cover, but it can be put on with the edges misaligned/overlapped. you should beable to shim the 'k' brackets if it relly bugs you that much.

is the pod cover scuffed/warped? is the 'k' bracket bent? id' replace it if it is, being alum and what not.

and are you sure you have a '10 1125CR? IIRC no '10 CR's were produced.

New camera's on the shopping list.

The plastic all looks like it's fitted OK, the whole assembly is just maybe 1/4" too far out at the back, like I can fir my fingers between the frame and the pod on that side but on the RH side the fit looks like a consistent 1/4" gap. Might pull the covers off tomorrow and have a wee look.

Build is Aug '09, which I think was marketed as 2010, Buell refer to this build spec' as '10. Must have been one of the last to escape eh?

does it have a sight glass on the block, infornt of the clutch cover? that'd make it an '10 motor atleast. but a build date of aug '09 on the frame, whould make it newer than older.
i think my R is a jan '09 build, but it was the newer of the '09's on the showroom floor

Yes, has the sight glass.

I'll take the plastic off the radiator tomorrow and get a pic.

Mines not exact either. Just sorta close to the other side gap wise..

No big deal. It's not a show bike.

Mike

I think that it's quite common - both of my 1125s are like that - more gap between the frame and the pod on the left hand side - probably a design "feature".

Cheers guys.

I'll have a look, if it's just a matter of dressing the mount face a tad then I'll do that to get it closer to matching the LH one.

More complicated than that and I'll live with it.

My CR was like that too. One side was worse than the other. I removed the cover and pulled the brackets off and notched out a little more material with a razor blade. Doing that moved the brackets further in and pulled the cover tighter. Hope that makes sense.

And yes they made 2010 CR's. Not mine btw.

Nice pic 03, only a handfull of both R's and CR's were produced in 2010. You have a rare bike Ocean!
