looking great, I like the black hardware for the windscreen, using the stainless on mine to go with the wheels and control levers, looking at Friday or Saturday to start the conversion, got to install a new water heater tomorrow:(

fun, warm water!!! I like warm water :) My steering bearings show they should be here on Saturday (I hope) so hoping to have mine back together then. Still haven't gotten a shipping thing on my drive belt so no clue whats up with that but I can ride it without the new one, my old one is still good. Just took off the belt guards a minute ago, debating if I should leave them off or cut them to look better and keep em'

Got a few more things trickling in from my Amazon order. Added my bar-ends, test fitted my new travel bags, also got my new stands. My damn steering bearings hopefully will be here tomorrow and my other wheels bearings. Then I can get this thing on the road.

Going to weld the stands when I go back to the shop. They are "modular" with a bolt holding the legs on, has a little wiggle room it feels like so going to get them square on the floor and weld em up to strengthen them. I know I know, all these updates for standard bolt-on stuff but more exciting things will come.

I like the grips, think you'll be happy with leaving the guards off, if not go with the '04 lower belt guard as I did with mine, the '03 design was a bit over kill... my Trex stand is very similar to yours, only use it when I have help the raise the bike up, usually my son, I'm going to replace the two prongs that lift the fork up with either pins and or a rod that will go through the axle to lift her off the ground, the prongs aren't giving me the warm and fuzzy feeling every time I use the front stand...

I actually modified my 03' guards and painted em' :) I thought about leaving them off but I live down a dirt road so figured I'd leave them

Ya I haven't tried my stands out yet but going to weld em' up on Monday and then give them a shot. For $65 shipped for the pair I think they will turn out nice once I weld them.

that actually looks pretty good, never thought about that when I removed mine...65 bucks, wow great deal, just noticed your passenger peg brackets, did you paint 'em? mine were the same color as the frame

Somebody's got the Buell bug!!! I remember when I bought mine, I couldn't add/remove stuff fast enough! Bikes coming together![up]

Thanks! Ya it's been like a non-stop parts-fest as of late lol. And thanks thrstrmech, I was looking at them when I pulled them off and thought "I can make them look better, where is my hacksaw" lol. I chopped the front section of the top one off and shortened the rear section of it, and just ditched the section in front of the swingarm mount on the lower and hit them with some satin and flat paint. As for the peg brackets, they were that way when I got it. I'm actually debating taking them off lol

LOL ya she hasn't been on it but would like to ride it once so I guess I'll wait and see if she enjoys it or decides she never wants to be on it again :D

took my better half on my old "Can -o- Tuna" 750 over the Coronado bridge @110, let's just say she won't ride with me ever again, this was before we got hitched

haha I took mine offroading once, had the truck on a hill almost straight up, I parked it, set the brake and jumped out to take a look. She tried to lean forward and couldn't because the belts were locked because of the incline and she has refused to go out ever again

Got her buttoned up tonight! Front end back on, exhaust installed, she's ready to ride! I'll still be doing the brake pads and wheel bearings soon but they don't NEED replaced yet so gonna ride it tomorrow, get that stuff swapped out next week. I lowered the front down too

Thanks bud! Mine's ready now get yours done! PM me your address and I'll send ya mine if ya want it, I'm thinking about getting a new one anyhow

have something in mind, thanks for the offer...a couple of weeks ago while at work at LAX was standing by the rear doors of the work van and looked down and found not one, but two lightning bolts on the ground, they had "Betseyville" stamped on both sides of them, may use one of those as the key fob...think they were originally zipper tags from someone's baggage that came off during loading/unloading process. was it coincidence finding 'em, dunno know :D

Finished the front/rear wheel bearings, Lyndall Gold pads, and painted the calipers and she glides now! Also polished the rear pulley lip and cleared it when I was doing the wheel bearings:
