I'm looking at getting a ramp so that I can easily load/unload my motorcycle. I've been looking mostly at the ramps that are curved, fold in half, and are wide enough for me to ride the bike up into the truck. And yes I know a single wide ramp would work but I want one that is a little more safe.

Here is something similar to what I had in mind.

Would you guys recommend a ramp like in the link I posted above? Also where do you buy yours from?

This is my christmas present from my wife but my she wanted me to choose which one I wanted to get.

Same company I bought mine from. Great overall, I recommend getting the ATV set since you dont want to literally ride up the one ramp. I just walk up one and clutch the bike up the other.

This is what I have in the 10ft long folding set. I have a 6" lift with 37" tires so I needed the longer ramps and they work great, if your truck is stock you can do the 7ft ones no problem. I think they cost me $175 with free shipping if I remember right.

There they are next to my tool box

I went with the Ready Ramp. Folds up as a bed extender so I can haul 2 bikes in my shortbox. On my phone or I'd give ya the link but google should bring up a pic.

I really like the idea of the curved ramp. Looks strong and safe. What I did'nt care for was how much space it occupies in the truck after loading. Look at the picture in the advertisement.

I like the style of the first set posted, I have used them in the past and they are VERY nice to use.

I wish I knew what brands are reputable and what ones aren't but I cant point you in a direction that way, all I know is that the curved ramps make loading and unloading much easier than flat ones and the big empty spaces and cross bars provide excellent traction

we used extremelow's a few times in one day (it was a rough day) and I can say that they are nice, and that his truck is HUGE!

I just bought a trailer. It was only 650 bucks and that was for a trailer big enough to haul two bikes, just barely, but got both the Triumph Sprint ST and Buell Ulysses on it side by side from Central Tx to Central MO. I think its a 5x8 with a fold down ramp.

Yeah those ramps payed for themselves that day. Got my bike loaded and me to boot, for a trip to the ER. Glad all that was really hurt was the bike and not me.

I thought about getting a trailer as well but my truck is a 4cyl tacoma. It does have the towing package (tow hitch, transmission cooler, etc.) but I'm just worried it will cause too much stress on the drivetrain. Its a 95 with 150k miles and my only means for transportation in the winter months. I'll look more seriously at the atv ramps since they are significantly cheaper. Do you guys think that my truck would be fine pulling two motorcycles (buell xb9, suzuki gs500) for a couple hundred miles?

I picked up my first Buell 750mi away from me, drove it home in the back of my old s-10 with a 4cyl and it road just fine.

Only thing you might want to look into is a set of helper springs. You can get a set of cheap ones that will work just fine for towing a couple bikes, cost about $45.

that should be no problem,my brother tows his bike 150 miles to the track every week with his gto.
i have a lifted z71 and use the 10' long folding ramps. they work fine, just rember to strap them so they dont slide out and tie them together. i brought it up myself once and was scary so i wont do it without a spotter on my right.

When I moved from Virginia to Vegas I pulled my bike in a homebuilt enclosed trailer with my '05 honda odyssey mini van. Back of the van was also full top to bottom and front to back. 2500 miles with no problems.

I used my 93 ranger 4cyl as a work truck all the time, it was a step side but I would fill the bed halfway up the cab with broken concrete. Not so good for the suspension at that point (it was resting on the bump stops) but the drive train was fine
