I agree I like the bike, I like the idea of a buell comeback, but I think I like the cr and 1125r better. They just seem more buell to me than this. I think the fairing work on the 1190 looks a little generic for something badged EBR. If the frame and swing arm were not so iconic buell I think you could set it next to several late 90's or 01's and 02 models and they would be hard to tell apart. I guess I'm a sucker for original design in both looks and engineering... let the ripping begin

That's the only reason i don't like that tail as much. I think it's a good looking tail in general, but I really appriciate buells for how incredibly clean and well put together they look. The back end on that bike looks cluttered with the suspension and the lower subframe rails. I love the actual tail, I just think it would look better if he could clean up the way it was mounted. I would either fill in the gap all the way down to the lower rails like the firebolt tail, or just put a colored spring on the production models so it seperates itself from the tail braces and looks a little more organized.

RACE BIKE = Performance over looks. That extra fairing you want is more weight and pointless on the track.

I agree browland, If I wanted a bike like that I would have just bought a gixxer. I love the different look of my 1125R.

I'm at all points in time at least 5-7 years behind technology. When I think about Buells I still picture an XBS, and I don't spend much time on the track. I know Erik and EBR has moved on to track bikes, and that's their focus, but I've never really thought about them in terms of top end performance, I usually just think of fun looking bikes with super clean lines. Either way, even if it's saving weight your after, that's why I said even putting a colored spring in there would help unclutter the back end.

i second wayne either that bike is huge or my perception
of erik being ten feet tall and bullet proof is a bit flawed.

Beers ...[up]
Erik has such deep roots in racing I beleive it will always be paramount.
And at the same time ,this is all he has now. Beyond the obvious , like -LIFE..
Whatever form the next gen street Buell becomes, I'm sure it won't look exactly like this lovely machine , in it's take no prisoners form [up]
I'm stoked Buell is on the track!![up]
It's beer thirty...

I wonder If EBR would ever consider selling a bare bones "1190R" that the average joe could buy, then the average joe could turn it street legal and make it look like the yellow one without EBR "knowing" about it??

I'm wondering if he'd sell the tail section. It looks like it mounts to a standard 1125R frame

He would have no reason not to, since he said EBR will be supplying parts for those who want to pursue racing.
