Hey Guys,

I've always wanted a Buell Firebolt and I just picked up a 2005 Buell Firebolt XB9R over the weekend. I love the bike and am really happy with it. The only thing is when I was riding it home from after buying it, my dad was following me and when we stopped at a gas station he said why aren't you flashing your brake light when coming to a stop? I always flash my brake light with the hand lever to the front brake. So the brake light wasn't coming on when I use the hand lever only when I use the rear brake with the foot pedal. I was wondering if on Buells the brake light only comes on with the foot brake pedal because on other bikes I ride the hand lever works the brake light. I know this might be stupid sounding but just not sure.

Will switch to a broken brake lever. Light must also work on the brake and toes. I had him broken and I had dismantled and repaired plate. Martin

there is a switch on the front lever. maybe its broken. check it out with a volt meter or something

These switches are bad to go bad. I had to replace mine as well. Only $13.00 or so at Harley dealership.

If the HD dealers are out of stock, you can use the below (exact same switch on the top Suzuki number - right down to the brand name):

Buell front brake switch p.n. Y0810.9 ('04+ XB, '96-'99 Tubers) is the same as:

- Suzuki 57460-17C01
- Suzuki 57460-17C00
- Kawasaki 27010-1170
- Kawasaki 27010-0025
