So it was impossible to stop my bike with the rear break i put new pads on and problem solved i have a few hundred miles on the pads and I'm back to not being able to stop. Could the breaks be glazed over and would some brake cleaner take care of that? Any other ideas? I leave on a trip for some twisties tomorrow i don't want to have to putts through them

If they are glazed, take them off and put a piece of emery or sand paper flat on a table and run the pad over a few times, that will take the glazing off, but it may come back depending on if you heated them up too much or not.

/\ ha! I see what you did!

I wouldn't think brake cleaner would be the long-term fix. There seems to be bigger issues here. The obvious, any fluid leaking? Are you noticing your fluid levels decreasing quickly? Excess brake dust? Vibrating rotor?

Found the problem can you see it?

re adjusted and the break locks the rear no problem

Lol my phone chooses that one if you notice my first post has both and the correct one was when i wasn't using the slide it mode sorry

If you notice on the picture the bracket the foot peg is on there is a light gray scuff from the back of the foot brake hitting it when pressed. I had to adjust the foot brake to make clearance.

the scuff and the arrow down is what i adjusted down

I had same problem with mine. I have Knight brake lever and ran out of adjustment so had to make a slight adjustment with dremel works fine now but stock pads suck i installed EBC HH pads works awesome now.
