so i just adjusted the suspension to my weight, per the manual. everything went smooth until i got to the rebound screw on the rear shock. it would not turn at all. put some umph into it and now it just spins freely without stopping.[mad] any ideas?

sounds like you just "screwed" yourself. lol.

Mine is practically impossible to turn. Are you sure you didn't just strip the screw?

i turned it counter clockwise ( i figured the previous owner had overtightened it, past maximum) i really hope someone else has had this problem.

From looking at my parts guide that screw cant be replaced. I did see a couple rear shock assemblies on ebay.

Are you able to back the screw all the way out? Helicoil/permacoil if you stripped the female threads...potentially inexpensive option. $20 or so....

I have a blue shock for sale if you want.
Also not to question your intelligence but which screw did you turn? I know on mine there was one I tried to turn at first but I soon realized it was "locked" in place and was in fact not the intended screw to turn

Did the.sMe thing as jake, believe it's the left side.that is locked in place with indentations on the sides of it. The actually screw for adjusting the rear shock should turn as easily as the front suspension adjustments.

I thought the screw to adjust was behing the seat? (Upper left on the bike)

That is the compression adjustment the rebound adjustment is on the clutch side of the bike by the bottom of the suspension. I think jake is correct in his guess to what the problem is.

Alright I got a chance to take some pics to hopefully help ya out.

Yah it was the right screw, I checked out the service manual first. I talked to someone and they told me if its set somewhere comfortable and isnt leaking to not worry about it.
