I am needing a new rear tire very soon. I am making lots of mods to my 08 blast already and if I am going to do anything to it I do not want to skimp on the quality. I read on this forum that the Pirelli Diablo scooter tire is a high rated one. And a wider size that will fit is 140/70-16. Has anyone used this tire on the blast? Since it is wider will the tire just slip right in without any additional mods to the bike?

Thank you for any feedback

I'm going to chop the tail and paint it within the next two weeks. I will be posting those pics once that is all finished

From this BuellXB Blast link:

Tires: Stock size is 100/80-16(Front) & 120/80-16(Rear).These companies make tires for the Blast:
Worst – Dunlop K330 - older OEM tires, the rear last 2,500-3,500(?) miles. Tires belong in trash!
Best Handling - Pirelli MT75 - current OEM tires - rear last 2,000-2,500 miles, front lasts 4,000(?)
Best Mileage and Rain Tire - Avon AM51 & AM52 - rear tires last 3,500-4k miles, with 7,000+ for front.
Wider Tires - AVON VIPER STRYKE AM63 - 140/70-16 (rear) - 110/70-16 (front)
PIRELLI DIABLO Scooter Tire in same sizes as AVON - best construction, handling & mileage - the winner!
Note: The wider tires are built for a scooter that weighs 200 pounds more than a Blast so they are strong and give great mileage - especially the Pirelli.

We put the Pirelli Diablo on my girlfriend's 2010 Blast. Works great.

Yeah that's the exact quote from what I read lol. I find this forum to be extremely reliable so I guess I'll be going with that one.
