Anyone ever try to strip and recoat inside of buell xb frame/gas tank. I tried lowes best paint/aircraft stripper it contained methylene chloride as i hear was what to use. It did not even touch the rubbery coating they come with stock.

I thought there was no coating on the inside of the buell xb frame/tanks? Since it's aluminuminum....

Bike vs concrete barrier dent and piece of metal rebar caught frame making a whole the size of a thumb

Did you ever have any luck stripping the inner coating off of the frame? Or did you just weld the frame without dealing with it?

I tried a couple diff kinds of strippers and no luck the stuff buell used is on there and wont come off, and all tank liner kits say not to coat over old stuff that it wont adhere?

Time for a new frame... You can pick them up pretty cheap these days.
