[up] Neil.

I started by using my dremel with a 180 grit roll then 240, then switched to manual sanding with 500, 1000, 1200.

Start low and it will get most imperfections out and each time I did another pass with a higher grit it got better. A good polishing paste with a good buffing wheel brings out an amazing shine. Simply wiping it on with a towel doesnt compare.

That is the truth, although my dremel took care of the hard work pretty easy. :p

That's the key ! It was'nt THAT nice before I started polishing

It was like this before the polishing

Removed all the rust with sand paper sheets with a lot of elbow grease !

I'm just too lazy....lol

Mine are going off to the ceramic coater :)

I'm impressed with the effort, it's a lot of work!

I'm going to have to do more than what I did last time I "polished" mine. The weren't that good looking! Lol.

I just used WD40 with 180 grit to get the crud off, then went down to a green Scotch Brite pad, then just polished by hand. They still look good, but weren't even close to a finish like that!
