Remembrance Stickers

Hey guys,

Let's try to pull the remembrance stickers thread over here. You never know if parents, siblings, and other loved ones will come onto this site to read the thread about their son, relative, ect. Especially after a few of us posted on his wall saying the BuellXB community's thoughts and prayers are with you, ect. We don't want his loved ones to read our posts bickering about how their loved one wasn't worth an individual sticker, shouldn't be remembered the same as the other guys, and so on.

I respect all your opinions and feelings...but let's keep it in this thread out of respect for rrh and his family and loved ones...please.

I would suggest using the PM box, what makes you think they wont look here as well. I have my own opinions on the matter at hand, but have only expressed them through the PM system. Never thought I would quote Bambi but "If you cant say anything nice don't say anything at all." I think that holds especially true when dealing with touchy situations like this.

we need a buellxb brand logo that all of wear as a brotherhood when a fellow brother ends up in the hands of god we can have single stickers to place around the main logo? to remember the good and the bad times. this shouldnt be about who is who, its more we are all one with the same taste in bikes.

You are right, they could very well check this thread too. I meant for this thread to be in general for all of the fallen guys who rode Buells. If a family member comes to this site, they will likely go to "rrh481" and read 12 pages of us paying respects or bashing him - not a great thing. They could get onto this thread as well, but its less-likely. And I don't think this thread is going to be about rrh, just about the stickers and figuring that out in general. But its a little better to say stuff in here rather than to piss all over a thread created about the fight for life rrh had. Just my thoughts, i guess. maybe it was a bad idea.

I like the brand logo thing, i think that would be cool just in general. Like a Sons of Anarchy type thing, only not dumb, huge, and corny (although i like the show). Just something small for the helmet would be sick.

Just a thought...Instead of thinking of it being a helmet sticker, I would probably put mine on the upper arm of my "R" nose (top by the windshield). Just a thought on size, placement...

Other than that, thank you for starting this thread Burton, I agree with its purpose, and agree this is something the could benefit the boards.

No problem. No matter what our thoughts on him are, there are plenty of people that love him and miss him, and the thought of our forum adding to the pain sucks, regardless of how we feel about him. Posts are still being put in the other thread, so it might be worthless, but it was worth a shot.


I agree with oh9, the left for both rrh and PR are the best. I would do rrh in lower case, other than that, they are awesome. I wouldn't mind the D1 sicker, either.

i like em!! but someone draw up a "main" buellxb logo. we then can add more names (i hope no more) to the base logo and arrange them as we please. on a second note a xb logo will identify us if we are out and about and run into eachother and dont know it!!

I would love the sticker idea. It's nice to show your respect and rememberance of those brother's that are lost.

I personally am not big on the sticker thing on my helmet regardless of what its for, but if if we're all just throwing out ideas, I think the website logo is the best idea and maybe finding way to incorporate or signify the fallen into that logo. Similiar to the black stripe over a police officers, badge, maybe a black stripe incorporated into the logo. Maybe two 'll's in Buell are black and the rest blue or red or something along those lines. Maybe 3 subtle black lines for the 3 notable fallen we're talking about behind the logo.

That way the sticker stands the test of time, it represents everything buellxb.com, but its also just for those who know of or about the fallen, it also represents the fallen through the black stripe.

Further, you won't have to explain it to everyone who asks why you have a bunch of names of guys on your helmet. More of an internal Buell community respect for the fallen.

Netty, I really like that idea. I agree with your rationale, and I too, am not a big fan of the helmet sticker...I'd probably put it on the bike somewhere.
