Either way I now know to look differently at some peoples post.

There are some very knowlegeable and helpful members on here that have negative rep points . At some time they ,myself included , have crawled under the skin of certain members who realize how easy it is to give and remove points . Not that members with negative rep points are not informative , but some members see it as a kick in the balls or a just a way to disagree .

Exactly. It's not a "I agree" or a "I disagree" button.

It's meant to be used when someone gives valuable information, and in my opinion, the negative rep point should only be used in certain situations. I can't even remember when the last time I used it was. It used to be a measure of credibility, but now it's out of hand and I'm all for removing the feature.

The negative rep thing is funny. I try to thumbs up those people whenever they do something good just to get their number back up. The funny part is some of those negative number people also hand out the thumbs down the most.

Anyway, I'm going to ask Jeremy to remove the feature. Anyone disagree?

I say remove it. Also should merge with modsxb into one site. We should be able to have friends and profile pic's that you can load more the one pic at a time. Like FB but cooler. [cool]

well dave I will agree that until I had my negative points i never had given anyone else a thumbs down. I try to tell myself that it doesn't matter which it doesn't, but it's just a way to get under someones skin because of hurt feelings. So in my case it worked. The points truly don't mean anything and for that I would say removing them or leaving them also doesn't matter.

I believe that's exactly what it's about Agate!
We're on here to find out stuff about our bikes we didn't know before and to see if someone can help us solve problems that keep us from riding. Just don't forget that, when new people come on and ask "annoying" or repetitive questions, you were also new at one point and you needed answers to those questions also
