when the bike is hot, do a stop the rev stays at 2000rpm ( have to clutch to take it at 1000)
doing this for a month so , i just replaced spark plugs & wiring did a tps reset , set the idle rpm to 1050
(guy at speedbike shop told me it was poor on gaz )
whats wrong ?

i had the same prob. It started cuz i replaced the exhuast. Wen the bike gets hot it would rev at 2000 unless i put it in gear. I replaced my ecu and it stopped

could be a couple of things.
1) tps needs to be reset
2) could have leaking or bad intake manifold seals.

do the tps reset first if that won't fix then go after #2

If it idled good before the TPS reset, you need to lower your idle.. I did the same thing with my first TPS reset.. The video has you set it a touch high..

mine would do the same thing...i lowered my hot idle to 950/1000 range and it cured that problem. now if i could only get rid of that damn hiccup! it is coming up fast on the 5k service, so i will probably have that done then.

That problem will also happen if, after TPS reset, you set your idle before the bike is fully warmed up. try going for a ride, and set the idle as soon as you get back to your garage.

thanks again,my last tps reset was done by the book...idle set with hot engine...the bike was running weak on startups it would shutdown once or twice when starting the bike ,i replaced the intake gaskets,(genuine james blue stuff),i will do the tps reset a soon as i get my throttle cableS from ironmachine..,, both where worn
what a low-mileage summer! wow...i have some brand new pirelli angel st to try out too...i was thinking to sell the xb12s and buy an f800r but took a look into a forum and they dont seem more reliable...
i will keep the beast

bike runs great after intake gasket replacement!
new throttle cables , cooling fan, sidestand
i had to remove the muffler to replace the sidestand
i installed a new TORCA clamp and front muffler strap
the bike pops less , great sound and really torqu'ish
