I just moved from 8000ft to sea level. My '03 xb9r had been stored for 8 months[sad]. The bike fired right up but I've noticed when releasing the throttle after revving the rpms take about 4-6 to settle at idle. Thoughts? Thanks

It may simply be due to friction in the throttle assembly. Simple checks: see if the bar end is pressed too tight against the grip. See if the cable moves smoothly. Lube both.

If you moved down 8000 feet, just go ride for an hour and give the bike half a chance to acclimatize. Depending on the year, just turning the idle down a hair may solve it.
