Not sure who this was, but there was a Buell rider that will no longer be riding with us. So sad.

Driver of the truck was noted as not seeing the motorcycle.

Oh my god. My eye's nearly popped out of my head and chills went down my spine when I saw this...That is absolutely terrifying and hope the rider is ok. Things like this are so tragic. Such a shame.

Ugh...that is horrible. Makes me sick that people like this can't pay attention to the road and other around them. I hope the driver gets what is deserved for taking this guy's life.

Sad day, a friend told me about a rider down in Texas today too.

Ride safe and wear your gear guys.

OMG i think that is the worst collision i have ever seen with a bike and vehicle. There is nothing left of the bike and look at all the damage to the truck even. I bet you this was caused by the driver not paying attention on a green "yield" left hand turn.

Truly tragic. May he rest in peace and the family is in my prayers.

Terrible news . May you rest in peace and best thoughts and prayers to the riders family.

God rest his soul. guys and gals....I AM TELLING YOU...never assume these sons of bitches in trucks and cars are going to stay in their own lanes as they approach you.....never assume they see you....throw your headlights on high-beam when approaching any intersection......always assume a "left turner" is going to turn right in front of you so cover your controls and prepare for just that......and when you approach an intersection and see a stopped veh. at 1 or both of the intersecting roads, watch its front wheel closest to you. if that wheel starts to spin there's an excellent possibility the idiot behind the wheel does not see you.

thats terrible... you never know what will happen. one minute your just riding your buell and the next thing you know your are standing infront of heavens gates. May God rest his soul

That's awful, I hate to see this and you guys are right you never know what the drivers around you are going to do. People are always in a hurry and become careless to take that second look.

Prayers to the family. This is why I keep my city ridding to a minimum, had to many close calls.

That is my number one concern when I ride. When I approach intersections I slow down, flip my high beams and sometimes if it's really busy I even sound my horn.

I don't know how many times I have been cut off and almost ran over by drivers.
People really don't pay attention. As I ride by cars I can see people reading, texting, looking for something on the floor, or turned around yelling at a kids in the back. People don't understand that those are the moments you can accidentally KILL someone on a bike.

A few months ago I was passing a minivan and I thought I was in the clear because I was directly across from her. If the driver looked over she would have saw me, but she didn't and she started to merge into my lane. Luckily my bike can take off pretty quick which is what I did. I could tell she was completely oblivious by the way she jerked the wheel back into her lane as I rode past her. That is another reason I vote for having a loud bike!

It's sad when half of your friends won't get bikes because they think it's too dangerous. :(
I wish it didn't have to be that way.

RIP fellow rider

how can you even tell it's a buell?!? there's nothing left.. not that the type of bike really changes anything [down]
