RPMs Sticking

Hey guys. Some times after the engine gets warm and I've been riding around for a while and I'm slowing down in gear, the RPMs get stuck right around 2000 and won't come down or comes down VERY slowly, so that I have to keep it in gear and break enough to bring the engine speed down myself. It's annoying more than anything because if I'm coming to a red light and I pull in the clutch and brake to a stop, my engine is still going at 2000 rpm. It's always around 2000 rpm that it happens at, and it only started doing this after I got the 10K mi service done at the HD dealership back in May of this year. It did this a lot right after the service but after a while it went away and now it started doing it again. Do you guys have any idea what would cause the engine to stick at 2k rpm when slowing down in gear? I was thinking maybe the tps? 04 XB12R.

Try turning downt he idle screw a bit. Mine did this after my tps reset at the dealer too. I also have the EBR ecm which reduces engine braking.
I turned it down and the "hanging' rpm went away, but i didnt' like it as much. So i turned it up again(very small amount) This lets my rpms hang for a few moments while i downshift for a corner without having to "blip" the throttle.
To each their own though.. When i reach a red light, i just release the clutch a bit and the rpms return to normal.

add the same isssue, tried the tps reset , didnt work, i replaced the intake gasket , now runs fine xb12scg 2005 there is a couple of threads on this

A big job to do ?Is it "doable" in place?

there is a couple of threads on this

You have the links? Can't find anything ?

I think I kinda have the same problem ....

I started having this too, and I figured it to be the intake gasket as others have said. I know you can get to OE gasket at H-D, and it isn't too high, but it is not easy to get to
