my ully 06 has 2600 mls now and has decided to run one one cylinder. It was serviced at 1500 mls. It does it sometimes from start up, and then sometimes when warm a few miles into a ride, then it clears and runs fine. I'm about to put some serious miles in and dont feel i can trust it. [confused] HELP !!

SOUNDS LIKE A SORT DO THE WIGGEL CHECK 1 START BIKE TAKE SEAT OFF AND START WIGGELING WIRES TAKE YOUR TIME KEEP YOU EARS OPEN FOR ANY CHANGES THE GO TO THE WIRES BY FRONT FORKS. LET US KNOW.

why ignition switch? any particular reason?
i think i'm having the same problem.

Hi chaps. had the ully in today for a full service. it's had new plugs & all that kak - ran better for 20miles then same problem. Tech found no ignition faults. downer. so it's back in monday. keep you all posted.

i had the same problem. front cyl. was cutting in and out. i found the the front coil wire chaffed thru against the wiring harness next to it. the spark plug wire was so bad that you could see the braided loom in the wire.
i changed the wires and plugs with HD parts and ran good for a while until it started to happen again but more often now. mostly running on rear cyl only. now i am checking the coil. any ideas?
anyone know how and what the resistance readings should be?

My plug wires were also worn through,no problems though I noticed doing general upkeep and replaced. What caused it and how do I stop it?

the spark plug wire was touching the wire harness. not much clearance. it happens due to vibration. i just made sure the plug wires were away from anything that could rub thru.

Right then, the tech has changed the coils and fitted new plugcaps. Apparently the earlier leads rub through, but the new type are better protected and more watertight. The caps can lose there grip on the plugs. he also reset the management system. He informs me it runs sweet now,I say I should think so it's only got 2600mls on the clock.
Next is jardene exhaust, race ecm,k&n filter.

I have the exact same problem with mine, but my plugs keep fouling out and I only have 414 miles on it. Maybe cause of the cold weather? I only run high octane in it. It is always the rear cyl. cutting out. wires are all fine.

tie them down so they can't rub against eachother.

setup?
fouling is a mixture problem, nothing to do with the weather.

Yes but wouldnt water in the intake cause a foul as well? [confused]
he said cold, not wet :D

on a bike with only 414 miles i would not understand how water would get in the intake.
and also, both cylinders would then have the problem, not just the rear ;)
