Hi Nitto,
Do you (or anyone else for that matter) know where i can get those adapter pieces for the rails?
Also, did you find the problem that caused the 2000-2500rpm issue?
Hope you still come on this forum, and even more so see this post.
Cheers, and you have truly inspired me.
Hoping to make my mine look as cool as this excpet in all black.
WOLF.

AndreSTA made the adapter for his bike, but I found that is was easier for me to have the frame rails modified by a local fabricator.

The RPM issue turned out to caused by the way I had mounted the steering damper. I had it mounted to the front isolator bolt and for what ever reason at that rpm range it caused the bike to vibrate like crazy. I have a different damper now so all is well.

I have not updated the pics in this tread so here are a few.

Nitto,
What RH air scoop have you got on this one?
Doesn't look like the ulesses one... something after market?
I ask cause it looks perfect and genuine.
Cheers,
WOLF
ps: Doug - stuff that, i'll make it work!
(with your help of course :D)

Wolf, the air scoop is from buellxb member Lefox. Contact him and he will make it happen.

Ps. sorry it took so long to reply, I am in a police academy right now and have not been home in 6 weeks.

;) thanks for that... good luck with the academy and if i'm ever over in the US again, i promise to behave.... as much as possible :D
Cheers,
WOLF

It is quite possible I missed something, but...
What kind of muffler is that? It looks as thought the pipe was routed back into the can and out the front?!?

First off Nitto, awesome bike, hope all went well at the academy. Secondly, has anyone else accomplished Nitto's tail swap? How about with Andre's spacer idea instead of modifying the rails? Just curious, I would like to see some more finished products if anyone has them. I have located all the parts and I am getting ready to put the hammer down. Getting nervous... or excited...!

Nitto, or anyone who has done the same,
Have you seen any issues or problems with removing the belt covers?
It looks real sharp with out them, but is the protection of the belt needed?

I've tried sending a message to AndreSTA
but no joy so far (ie no reply)...
so does anyone know him and could pass on a message of "some guys want to buy you stuff" ??
Cheers either way, and thanks again for this great Mod write up.
That makes two of 77 that are ready(ish) to go.
Just getting myself sorted slowly but surely.
WOLF

I tried to contact him as well about a month ago with no response since, I've given up all hope[confused]!!!

While we're at it... what exact parts is everyone getting?
Do we have an actual list?
Going to try and make an adapter of sorts down here in OZ. If it goes well, i'll let all know.
Cheers,
WOLF

stang65pony, I am with you, still waiting on 1 side rail and the trunk pan that I ordered months ago, everything else is in the box ready to go. Wolf, did you get your adapters finished? If so please post. I am waiting until I get the other rail to disassemble my bike, size up the fit, and decide whether to go with an adapter or mod the rails like Nitto.

Anyone thought of something like this I think there is enough meat on there to slot it out a bit. Plus if you ever wanted to reverse is you could, just use the new hardware. Also I forgot to draw in the 5mm spacer between the mount and the new S rail. Anyone possibly with a totaled frame willing to spend a little time and try this or anyone who is just plain nuts?
