Just bought a new set of wheels I will be powdercoating and adding some new rotor's to (none on them right now), and I am wondering are the scalloped rotor's, Front and rear, really worth it at a cost of $520 before shipping? Or should I just get some OEM replacemtents and some new mounting hardware at half the price? Or wave rotors? Man allot of choice's! Someone help me out! I dont race I dont do the track I ride in some traffic mostly open roads. I am over the max size for the bike but it has always worked well for me. Just looking for some advice. Thanks in advance!!

It all comes down to preference and you pocketbook. None of the mentioned rotors will perform better than the other with street riding. Not so much even with tracking. As for me, I wanted something that not everybody else had so I shelled out the cash for the Braking wave front and EBR rear-they are a weight savings over stock. Again, mainly for aesthetic purposes.

Kinda what I was figuring, Snake oil, as my daddy would call it!! Yeah I like the looks and the flow but I dont kbnow if I like them that much!! [Thanks for the response

Can you post links for all the ones out there? (maybe this already exists elsewhere?) EBR's offerings look pretty inexpensive from what I've seen!

EBR Brakes]EBR

ASB

These are the stuff I been looking at DRO
The EBR Front, rear, and bolt kits are bout $290ish before shipping and other small needed parts

The ASB Front, Rear, and Bolt kit's with small needed pieces are $520ish before shipping

ASB also has OEM Front, Rear, Mounting kits, and front rotor bolts for $492ish before shipping

The wave I found on Egay but its like 400 a rotor

I am thinking more and more I am just going to re-use my stock rotor's off of my old wheels and just sell the wheels and tires with out rotor's!!!!!!!!

You got new wheels?!?!>!?!

HA! I want the EBR ones the best value by far. Just a lot of other things I want more...

You got some much to do already there jake!!!! Two bikes to re-do and another to part out maybe??

IIRC the braking waves are about 1lbs lighter than stock while the 6mm EBR is more like 1lbs heavier. That's a lot of weight way out near the rim. I also, probably needlessly, worry about the quality of steel in the EBR rotors. I know my stocker seems to be made of some weird smeary stuff -- maybe they are from china like the wheels... I've had really good luck with braking and galifer on other bikes, but haven't got a set for the buell yet (probably will this winter).
