I and currently modifiying my bike so that my ride possition is more like a sport bike I have the crossroads and I'll be switching from the lightning rider pegs to the firebolt pegs, now Im wondering about the seat. I'm actually pretty comfortable in it with the stock set up but not sure if I will need to change it once i alter the pegs and bars. Anyone have any input? I'm 5'11" 175-180 long legs I have flat feet and ever so slightly bent knees when I sit on the bike. I see the street fighter seat might allow me to sit farther back but is it worth 170 bucks? I have seen some of you get their seats shaved? could I achieve the street fighter dimensions simplly by shaving my foam?

They're $$$$, but have you considered getting new rear sets. They make for a sportier feel and more aggressive seating position. - example: Sato Rear Sets

Lol yes those are on the wish list as of right now. I'm doing the more affordable stuff for now. i want black rear sets and have checked the Sato's are there others that are a little less pricey but just as good? I'm always down for buying based on quality but if i can find equal or near equal quality for less then I'll go for that.

any one have opinions on the wood craft or LSL. If i get the LSL I would want to powder coat them. can they be even though i see they are clear coated?

I put the Rizoma rear set on my 09 XB9. Well worth the money I paid. All fully adjustable. Nice ride position. I can post a pic if you want.
