What do looks have to do with a tire? If the best tire had a funny looking tread pattern to you, you would not buy it?

im going more for looks because this is not a hardcore race bike or a everyday drive that will be in the rain. if i were going to do track days or ride it year round..i wish i could do bolth, but it just get taken out on the weekends with the wife or out for a spin after wook to get some frustration out,but it mostly sits in my living room all winter while i try too make it look better.
i do think now im going with 190/50 pilot 2ct to be safe.

Better to be safe than end up on the side of the road with a f'd up bike. Good choice. You have to lean it a bit further to hit the soft compound, but you'll like the feel of it when you hit it.

go with the pure, a MUCH wider patch for the second compound supposedly better wet performance (haven't tested mine yet) and a slightly harder center compound for better life.

a few more bucks but WAY more tire, should even pay off in millage leveling the cost out.

i'm running shinkos on my XB9
i just put another rear shinko on.

but i think next time i will get a set of michelins. they go on sale at cyclegear and cost about the same.
it's not that the shinkos are a bad tire IMO. if for no other reason than; i'm just tired of hearing crap from everyother rider about my chinese ditch finders.
