Shipping Help

Has anyone shipped a bike who can recommend a shipping company? I am looking to ship a bike from Chicago to Boston and not get screwed at the same time. Reliable trustworthy company with good rates is hard to find. How much should I expect it to cost to ship from Chicago to Boston? The cost of the shipping will really determine if I make a deal on this bike or not. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I had shipped my Buell from WauSau, Wisconsin to Buffalo, NY using a shipper I found on uShip.com. It cost me just over $450.

You can put the details of what you'd like to ship there and shippers will bid on it and you can read reviews, etc.

Vicsologil. THat's all he does. Shipped an Indian from SPfld, mo to Orange Co, Cali for 250. took a couple of weeks . Look him up. Good guy.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm not an AMA member. I did get a quote on uship but the quote was a lot higher than what I wanted to see. It's all relative on what I can buy the bike for as shipping costs will determine what I can pay for the bike. 250 sounds like a great deal. I will definitely have to look into shipping with Vicsologil.

Uship is actually good, I get bikes up east coast from guys for $200 & had a 9sx brought KY to MD for $300.

I got my first bid from uship yesterday. They want 599 to ship Chicago to Boston. That is a bit too steep for me.
