Well I want to buy a bike. I want a Buell.
Should I get a 1125CR and what is a good price
for one from a dealership as I would have to
finance it.

I like the xb9 looks better I don't dig the big intakes on the side. I don't want to go out and see bikes like mine unless it's a buell meet.

I'm new to riding I have rode dirt bikes and when I was young I had a YZ50 but that's just a moped on steriods for the most part though wish I still had it.

I read alot about the problems with the Stater and the bike I'm looking at has little over 15K on it.

Any thoughts opinions would help thanks.

Id stay away from the 1125 only because of the stator. The xb9 or 12 there great bikes that have very usefull power for any situation and are pretty damm reliable. Id recomend either over the 1125. Price can very so much by year and condition but in the 4-5 range you can get a realy nice xb12. The 9 offers a little higher rpm range some people like more and with a few mods can put down simular power that the 12 offers stock. The 12 is more torquey and will power wheely beter . Realyit comes down to personal preferance. Id sit on a lightning and a firebolt see what you like better the firebolt shares the same tail as a 1125.

I believe you're talking about the radiators on the 1125 .. the intakes on the xb aren't really big.

Like buellbradski said, the stator issue is the only reason I won't even consider and 1125

That's the one reason I don't consider getting an 1125. You cannot go wrong with an XB though ! I've had 4 of them in the last 5 years and loved them all. [up]

Once you get past the stator issue, it is an awesome bike to drive , I actually own one !

I've had my 1125cr for almost a year (since June 2011) and over 10,000 miles so far. Issues are the stator went once at 5500 miles and replaced under warrenty. Just now my relay for the recalled harness blew and fried my battery. 150$ other than that no issues at all. If you get an 1125 09+ (the 2008 1125r has no stator issue but a clutch weep where the piston leaks but most are fixed by now) EBR sells a fix for $900 that comes with a lower output stator new rotor and stator cover. I plan to get this now as it is a perminant fix. Sorry if I repeated anything I just skimmed the top posts but either bike is awesome and you'll be happy with whichever one you get!

well all depends on USAA my credit sucks ex took it to the dumps while I was deployed...

you cant go wrong either way imo. I owned an xb12sTT and loved it but am now riding an 08 1125... went with the o8 to avoid the bulk of the stator issues mentioned above.
