Man am I sick of being treated like a bastard child by all the H.D. dealers out there. When I was buying Harleys and H.D. parts I was like a member of the family, but now that I own a Buell and would like to buy parts. They are rude, obnoxious, and lie to me. I am looking for the touring passenger pillion #53095-02y. Called my dealer and they looked it up for me and told me they found only 3 dealers in the U.S. still have one and then gave me their #'s. I called them and everyone of them were rude, didnt want to talk to me and said "those are obsolete parts you cant get one!) So, someone is lieing to me. What the hell? This whole thing is really changing my mind about H.D.

For the time you're putting into finding these seats, don't you think it would be more worth it to just have some Corbins made?

Apparently hd is rather biased @this point concerning Buell- I've heard of a few dealers treating us proper, but by&large, there's a lack of concern or basic respect for the most part.
I'm not big on bitch sessions or bashing, but I've heard this too many times beyond this forum.

Go to another dealer. The dealer I go to has been great to me. They order the parts I request and even bring up the diagram to ensure that's what I want. They also call me to let me know when the part comes in.

Hey davexb, I actually found the rider seat and its on the way to me, I'm just looking for the passenger pillion now! Sorry for the rant Bolt, I'm just not used to being treated like this by the dealers. It hurts more cuz I really thought we were all friends, a big family. What an eye opener, I guess it really IS all about money.

Well, this is pretty much when it starting. There's only going to be a few dealers, nation wide, that will give Buell any real kind of attention until the 7 year period is up. After that, well let's hope EBR can take over.

The real concern for everyone should be powertrain. There's already good support for plastics and common parts (like levers). But once we ride these beasts into their first engine rebuild or a clutch burns out, we're going to be hurting for Buell (and not substandard HD XL) replacement parts.

F--- the dealers. If you're lucky enough to have a good one near by, bonus for you! The rest of us are going to have to start seriously thinking of buying a salvage XB just to keep some spare parts on hand.

Welcome to the life of the bueller. They're nice to you until you mention that you have a buell and want parts. They act like it's such a pain to have to get out a different parts book.

Oh and did you try this place link

man i figured out the dealers were out to screw me long before i had ever even thought about buell, back in 99. i bypass them every single time i can. if you have a good dealership or mechanic, you better treat them right and spread the word. if they screw you once, make it your life's mission to spread the word far and wide. :D

Icepop-your so right! I really want a cr but the prudent thing for me would be having a parts bike & extras! I'm planning on a long relationship with these bikes, among my other projects.

Triple7-you deserve better!No need for apolgies mate:D

or this place.

Buellsterparts.com

Good find. I'm going to bookmark that one. I'd like to buy one or two wrecks from an insurance auction. One for parts and one as a track bike. But, at least there are sites like this that'll keep us going. It's a good thing our Buells are built well.

Thanks alot!! Got ahold of the link to Ironmachine and the touring pillion is on the way!! You guys Rock!! All is right with the world once again.:D

Its a hit and miss Witchita HD/BUELL didnt believe that the xb's have ram air scoops everytime i call them.
Now i call Fort Hays i get all my questions anwered in ten min[confused][mad]

The only Dealer in Hawaii is so so at best.I go in with my buddy and we bet on lunch if the parts guy cracks a smile while we are there.Ya gotta have fun..

Check out Faultline HD/Buell in Fremont, CA. They have a great crew there and always take care of the Buell guys and gals. They'll go above and beyond to help you out as best they can and actually treat the customer like they really care. Sometimes I'll just stop by there for no reason and grab a cup of coffee and chop it up with the staff. Some members of their staff ride Buells and they host track days sometimes too. I've delt with other HD dealers who don't give a $h!t about us. The Faultline guys have actually called me several times just to follow up with me and ask how I like my bike. They even remember my name too, I guess because I'm the only brotha they've seen riding a Buell lol j/k.

I have first hand experience with the sales staff at faultline. I have nothing good to say about those guys. I walked in with $1000 CASH down for a 2009 Black XB12Ss. I was dicked around for over a month while they kept trying to unload their blue lightning on me. No delivery date. No order history. No help at all.

Dave told my story to the folks at Salinas HD/Buell, and they called me and told me if I was serious about a bike, they'll have me riding by the end of the week. I pulled my down payment from faultline, and placed it with the Monterey County dealer in Salinas on Wednesday, went down to sign papers on Friday with the expectation to have the bike delivered on Monday. I get down there Friday to sign papers, and they HAD THE BIKE WAITING FOR ME. I try to give Monterey County my business when I can, even if they are a few hundred miles out of my way.

FUCK faultline and their lack of support.

Triple I have had the same problem here in MO. I took my firebolt in for a simple belt break. 2003 Firebolt imagine that right? They said they had never heard of it so I knew I was in trouble that should have gave me a clue right there, but I thought it just a simple belt right. They had it three weeks! Needless to say I do all my own stuff even if its under warranty! Harley has never really done anything for the Buell comunity in my opinion. So I am with everybody else F#$k Harley Davidson!

You guys think your tired of hd/buell dealers? Try working for them!!!! All I can say is if you can find someone at your dealership that does know what they are talking about stick with them, don't bash the entire dealership. But I do understand what you guys are talking about. Im not trying to bash or defend anyone, Harley is one of the hardest manf. to work for so take that into consideration.

Damn Kajer, that's crazy man. I'm sorry to hear that they screwed you around like that. You did the right thing by saying f*ck em and taking your money to another place. I would have done the same thing too if I were in your position. I'm just speaking from my personal experiences with them. As far as sales goes, I only get down with Chris and he's the main one who has damn near bent over backwards to help me. I don't know too much about the other sales guys. The parts guys are good to go and the service guys too from my little experience with them. Just to clarify things, I do not know everybody there and what everyone is about. I'm just speaking from my point of view and who I deal with. I speak to everybody when I go in there, but like I mentioned before the main guy I mostly deal with or chop it up with is Chris.
