Sucks to hear. I kinda have it good with my dealer cause I will only buy parts at it and the parts manager used to be the race team manager for the dealer. He himself rides an old s2 I believe and is always helping the Buell owners out.

Um hello! BuellParts.net?
I don't think any of us have forgotten BuellParts.net, it's just that we're all kinda looking at the reality of needing a new clutch or some obscure bushing that we would normally go to a dealer for. I like the fact that we don't have to go to a dealer for things like plastics, seats, wheels, etc because BuellParts.net has them. It's those less often replaced parts (which end up being the most critical) that has me worried in the long run.

I don't blame you icepop77! However, if you are looking for parts not listed on BuellParts.net's website, they still have access to most. All you have to do is e-mail them and ask them about the part you are looking for, they find what you need and actually add it on to their website for you!

I'll keep that in mind too. I'm new to the Buell community, so any lead on parts is definitely welcome in my book.

Have you been following Buellparts.net? Parts are disappearing off their site left and right. I contacted them about it and they told me parts are being labeled obsolete and once they are gone, they are gone. Just a heads up.

That's what I thought too, but the other day, I noticed that they had added a seat back on that was previously labeled as obsolete! So, I'm not sure if maybe they get precedence on what's left over as far as aftermarket parts go, or what, because they just got tons of shirts back in stock; I am yet to find another dealer that has clothing still.

There are very few Buell friendly dealers out there, when you find one keep in touch with them. I once broke down on a long ride on a "no appointments" saturday, put my bike in line, and watched as three HD's scooted right by mine.

It depends on the dealers... my local dealer never really wanted anything to do with Buell, never had but one rack of merchendise available, took 2 weeks to get parts, never had any new Buells in stock, etc. I drove about 45 minutes over to the next town and they were very Buell friendly,in fact, they called me today just to see how my bike was running and if I was having any problems with it (have had this bike for almost 10 months now.) It is truly hit or miss with Harley dealers and their Buell customers.

Bardo,

I don't know why I didn't see this post back in Jan. I could've gave it to you then. Actually, I have a .pdf of the '03 XB9R Parts Manual. Post up or PM your email and I'll see what I can do. ;)
